Based on true Mexican family stories and Mexican legends, Dia de los Muertos and other Folktales is a series of tales told with various theatrical devices: story theatre, movement, music, shadow, and puppetry. A company of 10 actors play multiple roles.

Josie, our narrator tells the story of her grandmother's immigration journey from Mexico to the U.S. and the ensemble of actors bring the family folktales to life.

The play explores what it means to leave one land in search of another, and the value in maintaining ties to our past.
